General Purpose Piezoelectric Accelerometers

General Purpose Piezoelectric Accelerometers on-line catalog

General purpose accelerometers are characterized by their versatility for satisfying a multitude of vibration measurement tasks. Sensors in this category typically weigh between 3 and 35 grams with sensitivities spanning from 10 mV/g to 100 mV/g. Most units offer stud or screw mounting, however, they may also be secured with adhesive - either directly, or in conjunction with a removable adhesive base.

Both ICP® (IEPE) and charge output varieties are offered. Typically, ICP® types are preferred due to their ease of use, however, when temperatures exceed the limits established by their built-in electronics, then a charge output unit is recommended.

These accelerometers offer a balance of performance characteristics with respect to low and high frequency range, sensitivity, and measurement resolution. Most units feature coaxial 10-32 electrical connections, however, integral cable versions are available for submerged use or to eliminate the risk of connection intermittency.

Applications for PCB's general purpose accelerometers include shock and vibration measurements on the following items. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

  • Electric Motors and Pumps
  • Gearboxes
  • Household Appliances
  • Package Testing
  • Scale Models
  • Outdoor Power Equipment
  • Small Engines
  • Transfer Cases
  • Structural Testing
  • Shaker Control
  • Hydraulic Actuator Control
